Lady speaker to represent loksabha for the first time in Indian History

After appointment of first lady president in India in the form of  Ms. Pratibha patil  now  government is planning for first ever lady speaker to represent loksabha assembly .Two names are proposed for this postion one of Ms. Girija Vyas and another one is of   Ms. Mirakumar.This decision was released in the discussion among  congress party leaders Manmohansingh ,Soniya  Gandhi and other members who attended the meeting were  finance minister  Mr. Pranav Mukherjee, home minister Mr. P chindambaram and Defence minister Mr.A.K.Antony.New loksabha  session is going to start from 1st june 2009 and so loksabha members are all prepared for that and before that new speaker will be selected .Girija Vyas is chairperson of National Women's Commission and Mirakumar is  cabinet minister  having water department in her reign.

Congress took the leadership in selection of first ever  lady president of  India as Ms. Pratibha Patil and has now decided to make loksabha speaker as lady and take the credit for first ever  lady loksabha  speaker in India.
Earlier  there were two names for this post one of Mr. Sushilkumar Shinde and another of  Mr. Kishorchandra .Mr. Sushilchandra has been given  post in cabinet ministry so his name has been cut off and also they have dropped name of Mr. kishorchandra as loksabha speaker and now only two names remain for this post of Ms. Girija Vyas and Ms. Mira Kumar .

Meanwhile  Mr. Manikrao Gavit has been appointed as pro-term speaker by president Ms. Pratibha Patil ,and will help in sworn in ceremony of newly appointed of ministers.
