Illegal phone tapping will now be dear ,will cost Rs.2 crores.As the illegal phone taping has increased and has raised a great issue in the country,now central telecom ministry has decided to increase the penalty for illegal phone taping from Rs.500 to Rs.2 crores to stop such unofficial phone taping.
This will help to prevent illegal phone taping.An application has been sent to PMO for consideration in which they have recommended a resolution in Indian telegraph act ,1885 suggesting penalty of Rs.1 lakh to Rs.2 crores.According to this law if somebody is trying to tape conversation or tries to fetch the data of conversation in any form he/she can be imprisoned upto 3 yrs and Rs.500 penalty can be lodged on that person.Now they have recommended penalty upto Rs.2 crores.
